African Blue opal releases stress and "old" emotional wounds and trauma. It increases strength and clarity. Blue opal stimulates creativity and helps ideas flow more freely.
The word Opal originates from the sanskrit word "upala" which means precious stone. Opals are good luck and healing stones. Opals help to relieve depression and enable the wearer to find true happiness and contentment. Opals encourage spiritual growth. It is the birthstone of October.
Beryl is a family of many stones of rich energy such as Aquamarine (blue-green), Bixbite (red), Emerald (green), Morganite (pink), Heliodor (golden yellow), Goshenite (white). Beryl is a stone opens the throat chakra and is the stone responsible for communication and self expression. The stone also enhances courage and protection. This is the stone of "illumination" of the body and the mind. The stone opens one's awareness of knowledge, wisdom, intuition and creativity.
Rose Quartz is considered the stone of love and compassion. This stone of unconditional love that opens the heart chakra to all forms of love: self-love, family love, platonic love, and romantic love. The high energy of quartz gives rose quartz the property of enhancing love in virtually any situation. Bringing love in to life and daily situations not only brings inner warmth, but it also lowers stress and soothes those around it. Rose quartz is a very happy and loving stone.
Moonstone is strongly connected to moon and to intuition as well. It is also first and foremost a women’s stone, directly associated with the Mother Goddess. Moonstone has also been called Water Opal, Fish Eye, and Wolf’s Eye, and has long considered to have inherent insoluble connections to the moon and it’s energies. In India, the Moonstone (named Candra Kanta) is quite sacred. It has a nurturing, reflective and calming energy. Moonstone strengthens intuition, psychic perception and meditation. It honors the feminine aspect of the self and so will aid women to become more fluent with their inner Goddess. It allows for greater flexibility in life as it soothes stress and anxiety.

**** A message about gold filled. 14k gold filled is not gold plated, it is a high quality product in which a solid layer of 14k gold is permanently bonded to a core of jeweler's brass by using heat and pressure. The gold will not wear off.
Please note the following information regarding precious metals:
Gold-plated: A base metal such as steel or brass is dipped into a bath of electroplating solution, with a lump of solid gold. When an electric current is applied, a thin layer of gold is deposited on the metal. Since the plating is quite thin, the plate (and hence the colour) on findings can wear off.
Sterling Silver: is a mixture of pure silver and some other metal, usually copper. The resulting alloy gives the silver strength. The standard is at least 92.5% silver. Hence the .925 stamp you see on some sterling silver items.
Vermeil: (Pronounced: Vermay) is sterling silver that has been gold-plated. Most of our vermeil is plated with 22K-24K gold. This is a good combination for those with allergy to normal, plated jewelry items. The difference between vermeil, and gold-filled, is in the thickness of the gold and the base metal used. In vermeil, the base is sterling silver.
Gold-filled: also called rolled-gold. These jewelry items are not actually filled with gold. They are made of a base metal (usually silver, brass or copper) covered by sheets of gold in a mechanical bonding process. Effectively a thick coat of gold: the gold content is 5% or 1/20 of the total weight. Use gold-filled items for your top-of-the-line jewelry. Usually made with 14k gold, it is hard wearing. With reasonable care it will not peel or flake, and should last as long as solid 14k gold jewelry. It is safe for most people with sensitive skin.
Fine metals reacts with chlorine and heat. Never take your jewelry into a pool or spa.
Please do not wear your mala during yoga asana especially on the wrists, it weakens the knots. :)
What are MATTE BEADS? It requires more steps than the traditional polished stone. The bead starts its life as a polished bead- its cut, drilled polished. Then, it goes back into the tumbler with a fine grit powder, water, additional tiny stones and tumbled to matte perfection. Each stone type requires a different amount of time in the tumbler, depending on the material's hardness and characteristics. Harder materials take longer (as long as two hours), and may require multiple tumbles with different compounds to get the finish "just right."
