Red Lightning Agate has the same metaphysical properties of fire agate.
Fire Agate, known as the "spiritual flame" of absolute perfection and carries a great mystery locked inside. Fire Agate is a variety of Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. It has a translucent deep reds and blues. It is associated with the root chakra, which supports stability and grounding in our relationships with each other and the planet. It is a stone of integrity, courage and passion. Fire Agate is beneficial in the treatment of poor circulation, lethargy or lack of energy, or depression. Agate enhances mental function by improving concentration, perception, and analytical abilities.
Pietersite discharges negative energies and emotional turmoil, and cleanses the aura, restoring it to calm.
Tanzanite is a stone of transmutation, shifting from lilac-blue to sapphire blue and into deep blue-violet. It is one of the most valuable of all metaphysical crystals for spiritual exploration, bringing together all aspects of communication and psychic power. Its high vibrational energy invites protection and safety in linking with higher realms, and allows for deep profound meditation. It is particularly helpful in uniting the mind and heart, teaching one to live from a compassionate heart with an illumined mind.
Tanzanite is relatively rare and costly, occurring in only one place in the world, the Merelani Hills in Tanzania, East Africa. It was discovered in 1967 and is named for its country of origin.
Tanzanite is an excellent crystal for novices to the exploration of psychic powers, as it is very protective and allows the clairvoyant Brow Chakra to open gradually, preventing psychic impressions from becoming overwhelming. To open the Third Eye and psychic powers, circle a Tanzanite clockwise in the center of the brow, and counterclockwise to close it.
The lotus flower represents one symbol of fortune in Buddhism. It grows in muddy water, and it's rising and blooming above the murk to achieve enlightenment. The lotus also represents purification and faithfulness. It resembles the purifying of the spirit which is born into murkiness.
The word sari described in Sanskrit शाटी
In the history of Indian clothing the sari is traced back to the Indus Valley Civilization, which flourished during 2800–1800 BC
The tassel on this mala is made from recycled old sari silk. It is a fair trade product, providing jobs for women in India and Nepal. The unique shades and textures vary slightly exemplifying the rich colors and history of the region and, because it's recycled, it helps the planet. It gives us a peek into an exotic, rich culture full of texture and color.

**** A message about gold filled. 14k gold filled is not gold plated, it is a high quality product in which a solid layer of 14k gold is permanently bonded to a core of jeweler's brass by using heat and pressure. The gold will not wear off.
Please note the following information regarding precious metals:
Gold-plated: A base metal such as steel or brass is dipped into a bath of electroplating solution, with a lump of solid gold. When an electric current is applied, a thin layer of gold is deposited on the metal. Since the plating is quite thin, the plate (and hence the colour) on findings can wear off.
Sterling Silver: is a mixture of pure silver and some other metal, usually copper. The resulting alloy gives the silver strength. The standard is at least 92.5% silver. Hence the .925 stamp you see on some sterling silver items.
Vermeil: (Pronounced: Vermay) is sterling silver that has been gold-plated. Most of our vermeil is plated with 22K-24K gold. This is a good combination for those with allergy to normal, plated jewelry items. The difference between vermeil, and gold-filled, is in the thickness of the gold and the base metal used. In vermeil, the base is sterling silver.
Gold-filled: also called rolled-gold. These jewelry items are not actually filled with gold. They are made of a base metal (usually silver, brass or copper) covered by sheets of gold in a mechanical bonding process. Effectively a thick coat of gold: the gold content is 5% or 1/20 of the total weight. Use gold-filled items for your top-of-the-line jewelry. Usually made with 14k gold, it is hard wearing. With reasonable care it will not peel or flake, and should last as long as solid 14k gold jewelry. It is safe for most people with sensitive skin.
Fine metals reacts with chlorine and heat. Never take your jewelry into a pool or spa.
Please do not wear your mala during yoga asana especially on the wrists, it weakens the knots. :)
What are MATTE BEADS? It requires more steps than the traditional polished stone. The bead starts its life as a polished bead- its cut, drilled polished. Then, it goes back into the tumbler with a fine grit powder, water, additional tiny stones and tumbled to matte perfection. Each stone type requires a different amount of time in the tumbler, depending on the material's hardness and characteristics. Harder materials take longer (as long as two hours), and may require multiple tumbles with different compounds to get the finish "just right."
