I started making jewelry in NYC while working in a high end clothing store. The shop sold designer jewelry upwards of $1000s of dollars. I thought I could recreate similar items for a lot less, I re-purposed beads, amulets and vintage materials creating trendy pieces that people bought off my body as I walked down the streets of NYC. I fell in love with the art of granulation which I studied at The Jewelry Arts Institute in NYC. That love brought me to Bali and Thailand In 1992, where I began a fashion design and import company called "Mosaic". Naked Planet Jewelry was an off shoot of Mosaic. It was created with the intention of "adorning the planet" with the rich colors, rare beads and unique amulets I found on my travels.
In 2002 I became a certified yoga instructor. I am a 800 hr. certified Therapeutic, Vinyasa, Restorative and Jivamukti teacher.
My art is a combination of my passion for yoga philosophy, mythology and the metaphysical aspects of stones with my love for jewelry design.
